Uttam Hathi has concentrated his
practice in mergers and acquisitions,
negotiation of international contracts, joint
ventures, setting up business particularly
in relation to projects-related deals
Uttam Hathi is
considered the dominant presence for oil, gas,
mining, real estate, shipping infrastructure,
pharmaceutical industry for corporate mandates and
commercial contracts.
Prior to the foundation of the Firm, he was
a counsel in the Bombay High Court and in the
Supreme Court of India attending to commercial and
civil disputes, he was also associated with law
firms like Law Charter, Singhania & Co and Little &
Co. He completed his management and then earned his
law degree and also his Master in Law Degree from
Government Law College, Mumbai (Mumbai University).
In 1992 he was admitted to the Bar Council of
Maharashtra & Goa as an Advocate, he also joined the
Mumbai office of Little & Co (now Fox Mandal Little) as an
Advocate and worked in
various financing, joint ventures and M&A deals,
establishing business in India, commercial
contracts, projects on gas, oil, mining,
infrastructure, construction, real estate amongst
other work.
He speaks fluent English, is now a partner at Brus
Chambers
